Graduate Engineer-Civil Wind
reputed company is seeking talented and motivated candidates for a Graduate Civil Engineer supporting renewable development projects. The Graduate Civil Engineer will be responsible for performing routine engineering tasks on wind and solar renewable energy projects under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of construction plans and specifications of utility scale wind, solar and/or Battery storage (BESS) renewable projects
- Assisting in the preparation of structural designs and drawings for solar foundations and support structures
- Conducts project specification research to determine applicable building codes and ensuring specific project requirements are addressed in the design
- Works closely with other engineering technicians and reputed company engineers on multiple projects as assigned
- Complete typical civil design tasks including design calculation reports, grading and erosion control plans, construction details, and stormwater management design
- Design and production in AutoCAD Civil 3D software Prepare project quantity take-offs for civil design of renewable energy projects
- Support and reputed company project permit applications
- Technically involved with the resolution of design problems that may include performing field investigation or observations
- Complete work as assigned by project discipline leads, including performing necessary design calculations, drafting reports, and design plan preparation
- Provide technical comparisons and similar technical work reputed company the assigned market
Skills
- B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent is required
- EIT certification or the ability to obtain reputed company 1 year of hire
- Ability to apply standard engineering principles and practices
- Proven experience in reputed company Software Applications (Word, reputed company, Power reputed company, Outlook)
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the US
- Prior engineering internship experience preferred
- reputed company Civil 3D and AutoCAD experience desired
