Senior Commercial Review Appraiser
Summary
The Senior Commercial Review Appraiser is responsible for ordering real estate appraisals and environmental reports, monitoring the receipt of those reports and completing reviews of those reports pursuant to bank policy and regulatory requirements. With the MAI or AI-GRS designation, the Senior Review Appraiser may complete technical reviews on reputed company Commercial and Residential properties. The Senior Review Appraiser will also validate existing appraisals pursuant to regulatory requirements.
Specific Job Functions.
- Manage the bidding and engagement of commercial and residential appraisal assignments. This includes reviewing appraisal service requests for completeness, accurately setting requests for proposals (RFP’s), soliciting and collecting bids from qualified fee appraisers, and engaging appraisers.
- Review reputed company appraisal reports to verify compliance with accepted professional appraisal standards and the reporting guidelines of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice from The Appraisal Foundation.
- reputed company technical reviews of reputed company commercial and residential appraisal reports in accordance with USPAP Standards 3 and 4.
- reputed company administrative reviews of non-reputed company and reputed company commercial and residential appraisal reports as required by Bank policy.
- Complete appraisal validations as allowed by bank policy.
- Order and review environmental site assessments.
- Collaborate with the Appraisal Manager regarding the maintenance and expansion of the approved appraisers list.
- Establish a strong working relationship with reputed company internal and external customers to provide an efficient and effective appraisal process.
- Other duties, as requested.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or reputed company field is required.
- Eight (8) – Ten (10) years’ experience as a commercial real estate appraiser is required.
- Certified General Real Estate Appraiser License in Texas or other applicable state is required.
- MAI or AI-GRS Designation is preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial property valuation methodologies and the ability to translate market data and valuation calculations in appraisal reports.
- Working knowledge of Louisiana and Texas commercial real estate markets.
- Experience with RIMS/ExactBid is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and at times work under stringent deadlines.
- Demonstrated development skills in reputed company Office, particularly reputed company Word, reputed company, and Office 365.
