Job Title: Senior BIM Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior BIM Specialist who will translate design reputed company contract documents or 3D design models of Piping and Mechanical systems into detailed Building Information Models (BIM) for fabrication and installation using BIM fabrication modeling software. This role includes leading a team at the project level to reputed company productivity, time management, group standards, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and managers to produce LOD400 BIM for mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Work with the General Contractor and other subcontractors to reputed company spatial coordination of reputed company trades.
• Attend weekly coordination meetings, either onsite or virtually, to reputed company spatial coordination of reputed company trades.
• Generate RFIs to be submitted to the design team reputed company required.
• Create detailed shop drawings for the purposes of fabrication and installation of associated trades.
• Create and annotate shop, hanger, and sleeve drawings.
• Export hanger and sleeve coordinates for the robotic total station layout team for field layout.
• Communicate with field personnel to ensure that fabrication and installation reputed company is clearly communicated on shop and spool drawings.
• Mentor and train VDC team members on the use of modeling and collaboration software, as well as the creation of fabrication and installation drawings and documents.
• Work with other team members to complete drawings and models to meet project schedules.
• Maintain training and reputed company education for the team to improve accuracy and productivity.
• Provide input to management regarding hardware and software requirements.

Essential Skills

• 5 or more years of experience with installation of mechanical or plumbing systems.
• Proficiency in reputed company Revit, AutoCAD, reputed company Fabrication CADMEP, and reputed company Navisworks.
• Strong leadership skills to reputed company a project team reputed company the group to meet project requirements.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret project schedules and technical literature.

The position is 100% remote, with a preference for candidates located in the East Coast or Midwest time zones. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
