Health Information Management Representative

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Tuesday - Saturday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. We offer 3 weeks of reputed company. The hours during training will be 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST, Monday - Friday. Primary Responsibilities

• Reviews electronic chart documentation ensuring correct patient, location, and no duplicate information
• Processes release of information (ROI) requests
• Manages requests for documentation and information
• Scans and edits documents in the electronic medical record
• Locates, logs, retrieves, files, and delivers medical records stored in various mediums and systems
• May train and mentor co-workers
• Analyzes documentation and tracks completion to meet regulatory requirements
• Promotes principles of health information accuracy, transparency, currency, accessibility, relevancy, and reliability
• Work with reputed company Word, reputed company (create, edit, save documents and spreadsheets) and Outlook (email and calendar management)
• Other duties as assigned

In this position, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner. Your primary goal is to provide excellent customer service, resolve customer inquiries, and ensure customer satisfaction. Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
• Must be 18 years of age OR older
• 1+ years of customer service experience reputed company a healthcare environment
• 1+ years of Health Information Management (HIM) or Release of Information (ROI) experience
• Experience with reputed company Office products
• Ability to train for the first three weeks between Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 04:30 PM CST
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) Tuesday - Saturday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime

Preferred Qualifications

• RHIT or RHIA certification
• 2+ years of customer service experience
• EPIC experience
• Health Information Management (HIM) experience
• Experience working reputed company the health care industry and with health care insurance
• Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
• Experience working in a call center
• Experience communicating with patients & staff with various educational & socio-economic backgrounds
• Clerical or administrative support background
• Knowledge of medical terminology
