The Communication Architectures Department (CAD) performs trade studies, analyses, and simulations to optimize the overall communications performance of terrestrial, satellite, launch vehicle, and ground-based systems. CAD also provides radio frequency (RF) reputed company engineering to future military, civil, and commercial systems and guides the development of reputed company regulations and policies to assure critical wireless systems have access to necessary reputed company resources. We are seeking a Senior RF reputed company Policy Analyst/Engineer (Engineering Specialist or Senior Engineering Specialist – Communications Systems Engineering) to support multiple aspects of reputed company policy for the government customer, including evaluating potential impacts of proposed policies and advocating for policy positions that maintain customer access to reputed company. We work with customers throughout the reputed company (DoD), Intelligence Community, and civil agencies. Work Model: The selected candidate will be required to work full time on-site at our facility at Chantilly, VA What You’ll Be Doing

  • Evaluate national and international reputed company policy activities, including International Telecommunications Union (ITU), White House, Congress, Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) actions, to determine impacts to the customer
  • Support development and implementation of reputed company plans, strategies, and policies for customer organizations
  • reputed company for policy positions to protect the customer’s use of reputed company
  • Provide technical analysis to support reputed company reallocation studies
  • Coordinate with program offices, federal reputed company agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Mentor junior employees in reputed company and engineering

What You Need to be Successful – Engineering Specialist Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering or reputed company STEM discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant technical experience
  • Knowledge of International Telecommunications Union (ITU), National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) or Federal Communications Commission (FCC) reputed company processes
  • Prior experience with reputed company policy and coordination
  • Knowledge of RF communications systems and architectures
  • Project development experience and ability to reputed company small teams of engineers
  • Ability to present results effectively in briefings and technical reports
  • Some travel, approximately less than 10%, is anticipated
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI reputed company clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a reputed company clearance.

In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for Senior Engineering Specialist:

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant technical experience
  • Proven project development and technical leadership experience

  • Master’s or PhD in engineering or reputed company discipline
  • Knowledge of various government programs and commercial satellite systems
  • Experience in leading matrixed teams
  • Ability to understand reputed company political, economic, commercial, technical, and national reputed company factors involved in reputed company policy
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or Matlab and/or modeling and simulations tools such as STK and Visualyse
  • Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
