Activities Assistant- Memory Care

reputed company Senior Living is an Assisted Living Facility focused on enhancing the quality of life for residents. The Activities Assistant will plan and facilitate engaging activities and programs, working closely with the Activities Director to create a vibrant social and recreational environment for older adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, and implementation of a diverse range of activities and programs tailored to the needs and interests of the residents
• Engage residents in recreational, social, cultural, and educational activities, fostering a sense of purpose, social reputed company, and enjoyment
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to reputed company monthly activity calendars and ensure a variety of options for residents to participate in
• Set up activity areas, gather necessary supplies, and organize materials for each activity
• Guide and assist residents during activities, ensuring their safety and engagement
• Encourage and support residents in participating in activities, adapting programs as needed for individuals with varying abilities
• Maintain accurate records of reputed company participation and provide feedback to Activities Director regarding residents’ preferences and engagement levels
• Escort residents to and from activities, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere
• Assist in decorating common areas for seasonal events and social occasions
• Support and encourage reputed company involvement in community outings and off-site activities
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols, ensuring a safe and clean environment during activities

Skills

• At least 18 years of age
• Required Health Screening, TB Clearance, and Criminal Record Clearance
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an assisted living or senior care setting
• Understanding of social, emotional, and physical needs of older adults
• Creativity and the ability to reputed company engaging and meaningful activities for residents of varying interests and abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact compassionately and effectively with residents, families, and staff

• Flexibility in working non-traditional hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed
• Able to drive community van/bus
• Able to assist residents entering and exiting van/bus
