Rynoh — a business unit of Porch — is a rapidly growing cloud‑based FinTech software company dedicated to innovation, security, and excellence in the financial risk management ecosystem. This role plays a critical part in delivering mission‑critical software that powers our financial integrity and transactional systems across the business. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this leader blends hands‑on technical execution with people leadership, ensuring predictable, high‑quality delivery across multiple engineering initiatives. You will shape engineering culture, drive architectural evolution, and directly influence the transformation of legacy systems to modern, scalable platforms. What You Will Do As A Sr. Software Engineering Manager Provide hands‑on leadership for multiple software development teams delivering mission‑critical platforms and services. Lead all people‑management responsibilities including hiring, coaching, performance management, and employee development. Demonstrate strong technical competency with software architecture, distributed systems, microservices, diverse tech stacks, and emerging agentic AI technologies. Actively participate in design reviews, architectural discussions, and hands‑on delivery to ensure high‑quality outcomes. Lead Agile teams in a SAFe Agile framework, including PI planning and execution. Manage shifting priorities while ensuring predictable, on‑time delivery. Partner with the Head of Engineering to execute organizational and technical priorities. Manage both onshore and offshore teams to ensure alignment, communication, and delivery consistency. Collaborate with Product, QA, Security, Compliance, and IT Operations. Identify risks, remove blockers, and mitigate execution issues. Foster a healthy, accountable team culture focused on ownership and continuous improvement. Lead modernization of legacy systems to modern, reliable, scalable architectures. What You Will Bring As A Sr. Software Engineering Manager 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience with increasing responsibility. Hands‑on engineering management experience in FinTech or financial services. Strong understanding of financial systems integrations and regulated data environments. Experience with SAFe Agile and large‑scale Agile delivery. Experience managing distributed and offshore teams. Strong technical foundation and judgment. Ability to operate effectively in fast‑changing environments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience (Master’s preferred). Authorization to work in the United States. Experience with large‑scale, high‑volume transactional systems. Familiarity with financial data handling and API security protocols. Hands‑on experience with .NET, Blazor, Azure, MCP servers, Azure AI services, and SRE practices. Experience designing or leading agentic‑AI systems and orchestration patterns. What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member Pay Range: $153,800 – $215,300 annually Actual pay reflects factors such as experience, skillset, job‑related knowledge, competitiveness with market, internal equity, and geographic location. Additionally, you will be eligible to receive long‑term incentive awards, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
