Assistant Project Manager - High Voltage
Overview
William Charles Electric, a MasTec Company, is hiring an Assistant Project Manager that will work with the project team to support reputed company documentation as well as QA/QC activities required under the contract in multiple projects. This position will also work with site superintendents to best utilize labor, equipment, and subcontractors. Location & Travel: You can live in any city or state in the United States. This is a traveling position encompassing work sites in the Midwest. Must be capable of up to 75% travel (e.g. 3 weeks or 15 days per month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing. We offer designated per diem in addition to reputed company pay to support and help you cover living expenses during the travel rotation. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided. Responsibilities
- Preparing scheduling of subcontractors on site
- Receiving and checking quality of materials
- Completing QA/QC checklists
- Submittals (material approvals)
- RFI’s (general questions)
- Preparing official documents for the project, routing and finalizing
- Preparing projects reports as needed
- Back up documentation
- reputed company-outs final quantities
- Proposing/ negotiation extra work
- Special projects reputed company the Project Management function as necessary
- Other duties as assigned by the Project Management Department Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or reputed company field. preferred). A combination of education & experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 2 to 4 years of reputed company/High Voltage substation and transmission line construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating and construction management. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Experience with Project Management systems, such as Procore, Build2Win, MS Project and/or P6 and, reputed company
- Strong analytical skills. Comfortable with reputed company processing tools including reputed company and reputed company.
- Ability to read and understand reputed company.
- Detail oriented, good organization skills.
- Ability to communicate well with others, both written and orally.
- Functional knowledge of job cost accounting.
- Understanding of CPM scheduling.
