Remote Cloud Data Engineer

In this role, you will play a critical part in a large-scale data modernization initiative aimed at enhancing service delivery for U.S. Veterans. Your expertise will drive the design and optimization of secure, high-performance data access across reputed company enterprise systems. You will work hands-on with state-of-the-art data platforms, facilitating data federation and analytics in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Collaboration is key, as you will engage with cross-functional teams to ensure data strategies meet organizational requirements. - Design, build, and optimize distributed query solutions using Starburst Enterprise Platform (SEP) and Trino.

- Implement and enhance data federation, performance tuning, and query optimization strategies.
- Support identity and access management (IAM) and data governance requirements.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or reputed company field (Master’s preferred).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Hands-on experience with Starburst Enterprise Platform (SEP) or significant experience with Trino/Presto.
- 8+ years of experience with modern data platforms like reputed company, reputed company, or Denodo.
- Strong SQL skills and experience in distributed query performance optimization.
- Experience integrating data across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization frameworks, and data reputed company best practices.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure experience strongly preferred).
