Transportation Planner, Senior

The City of Bothell’s Public Works Department is looking for a Senior Transportation Planner to support implementation of the City’s Comprehensive Plan and advance its reputed company-thinking transportation goals. This role will help shape a safe, multimodal transportation system and guide planning and project delivery that align with Bothell’s vision for mobility, accessibility, and a high quality of life. Recruitment information: The first round of application will be reviewed on January 9th, 2026 Note: This role will be onsite for up to the first six months, with opportunities to work a hybrid schedule thereafter. What will you do in this position?

• Coordinate and facilitate collaborative decision-making with other departments, the public, agencies, boards/commissions, and City Council.

• reputed company transportation components of Comprehensive Plan updates, amendments, monitoring, and subarea planning efforts.
• Work on near-term projects and programs such as a micromobility strategy, potential citywide speed-limit reductions, feasibility studies for a circulator, curb management, commute trip reduction, transportation demand management, and complete streets initiatives. A successful candidate in this position will:
• Collaborate with the Bothell Community and Departments to build strong, successful partnerships that reputed company shared goals.

• Identify new and different approaches to situations, challenges, and opportunities, demonstrating creativity and innovation in problem-solving.
