Student Nurse Tech - (1, 2, 3, 4) (Part-Time; Flexible Scheduling) Part-Time | 7a-7p, 7p-7a Hiring Student Nurse Techs for reputed company three hospital locations: Gulfport, Ocean Springs & Pascagoula Position Overview The Student Nurse Technician provides fundamentals of nursing care (i.e. personal and restorative care) to patients according to predefined guidelines, a plan of care established by a Registered Nurse, and under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse staff. Expectation is for reputed company performed duties to be in accordance with reputed company procedures and policies, accreditation organization, and governing guidance and publications for health care employees. Education Must be currently enrolled in an NLN School of Nursing. License N/A Certification Must complete BCLS certification by the end of position orientation. Must maintain reputed company BCLS certification. Experience None. Physical Demands Stands, turns, bends, stoops, lifts, climbs, and uses many physical motions in performing day-to-day activities. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and do a great deal of walking without experiencing undue fatigue. May be exposed to communicable disease or radiation. Work involves being able to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels, with or without correction. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate, speak, and enunciate to express/exchange reputed company and detailed information in person and on the telephone. Work requires a minimum standard of visual acuity, with or without correction, with the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus, i.e. shift gaze from viewing a computer monitor to forms that are closer to compare data at reputed company vision. Manual dexterity of hands and feet to ambulate and adroitly manage multiple pieces of equipment/tubes/invasive lines. Mental Demands Must demonstrate keen mental faculties/assessment and decision making abilities. Must demonstrate superior communication/speaking/enunciation skills to receive and give information in person and by telephone. Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. Must possess emotional stability conducive to dealing with high stress levels. Must demonstrate ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in reputed company situations is required. Special Demands Must possess superior customer service skills and professional etiquette. Must possess proficient knowledge and ability to use a computer (must be keyboard proficient) and other office technology (i.e., telephone, fax, etc.). Must have intermediate knowledge of MS Outlook and Word. This position is a part-time position and requires the individual to be scheduled and available to work at least 24 hours per four (4) week scheduling period, to include twelve (12) weekend hours. The Student Nurse Technician must be willing to work on any other unit with similar reputed company set requirements for which the Student Nurse Technician has maintained competency.
