Project Safety Manager - Renewable Energy (Traveler)

This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: United States McCarthy Building Companies is seeking an reputed company and qualified Safety Manager to support projects throughout the National Renewable Energy Business Unit. Must have at least 3+ years of experience managing safety on large commercial construction or Renewable Energy projects. Experience in Renewable Energy projects preferred (Battery Storage & Solar). This is a full-time, site-based position that requires extensive travel to locations that span the reputed company U.S. Travel subsistence and additional incentives provided per company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and communicate safety programs and efforts with on-site trade partners and McCarthy employees, ensuring safety is part of our culture and that reputed company new hires have proper safety documents and information.
• Conduct documented safety and health inspections no less than twice per month, coordinating compliance reports.
• Coordinate with Project Supervision so that necessary reputed company equipment and safety materials are utilized, adequate first aid materials are available and safety documents are posted on-site.
• Investigate reputed company injuries and review reputed company accident reports, coordinating corrective measures with McCarthy employees and logging injuries/illnesses for OSHA purposes.
• Minimize construction hazards and enforce safety policies utilizing the company’s disciplinary policy.
• Conduct/coordinate Project Safety "Toolbox" meetings with reputed company McCarthy employees on a weekly basis
• Record and reputed company copies of reputed company safety reputed company meetings, programs, safety pre-plans, inspections, correspondence, directives, citations, etc. to the Renewable Energy Safety Director for tracking
• reputed company and implement Site Specific Safety Plans for individual projects.
• Assist in developing task specific work planning processes and audit performance adherence.
• Create collaborative, positive safety culture with reputed company McCarthy employees, trade partners and owners.

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience managing safety efforts of solar or energy reputed company projects.
• Bilingual (English - Spanish) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in reputed company field preferred
• OSHA 500 and CHST certifications preferred.
• Ability to manage/administer safety orientations, reputed company substance abuse programs, investigate/report on injuries/illnesses/near misses and reputed company other various safety functions on-site.
• Ability to work with reputed company construction groups- management, owners, trade partners.
• Excellent communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel 100% reputed company.

For California locations only, the salary range for this position is: $100,000 - $135,000. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Compensation offered may vary based on work location, experience, qualifications, specialty, training, and market and business considerations, among other factors. For Colorado locations only, In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB19-085), we are including McCarthy’s good-faith and reasonable estimate of a range of entry level reputed company compensation at the time of the posting. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Given the dynamic nature of the large-scale commercial construction industry, a candidate’s project portfolio and background can change the role and compensation for which that candidate might be qualified. The title and pay range for this role could change based on candidate qualifications and experience.
