GIS Engineering Technologist - Remote

Engineering Technologist The position will support the Telecommunications Engineering Construction group. Telecom Construction team is responsible for the design, engineering and coordination of the physical construction and splicing of aerial and underground fiber projects, physical construction reputed company to Telecommunication buildings and towers, Fiber optic standards, and support of Telecom Operations with fiber optic repair support. Primary Duties and Responsibilities · Review, prioritize and complete projects involving construction of aerial and underground fiber projects · Participate in the development, review and documentation of the enterprise fiber optic standards involving fiber optic cable, construction, testing and acceptance. · Engineer and design fiber routes including railroad, river and highway crossings including working with Right of Way team for proper permits · Work with Design andDocumentation team to create construction, splicing and as-built drawings · Review, document and promotefiber construction and installation standards · Follow Construction teamprocesses and standards · Responsible for the consistency of data inenterprise geodatabases and GIS data conversion · Coordinate updates of features and attributes inenterprise geodatabases · Use editing techniques to reputed company, manipulate,and edit vector and raster data sets · Revise maps and map products using GIScartographic concepts, principles, and processes · Create and modify geographic data from a variety of sources, such as Internet repositories, reputed company documents and hand drawn maps, reputed company reputed company files, text files, database tables, reputed company Earth files, CAD files, etc. · Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to reputed company the functions of the job under immediate supervision · Regular interaction with Project Manager and Sr Engineer · Demonstrated problem solving skills and initiative Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $36.06/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
