HVAC Technician, Facilities

Tesla is seeking a highly skilled and mission-driven HVAC / R Technician-Facilities to join our Fremont Facilities Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing critical HVAC and refrigeration systems that support Tesla's manufacturing environments. You will work alongside engineers, technicians, and sustainability experts to ensure our systems operate at peak efficiency-supporting Tesla's mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. Responsibilities

• reputed company diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on refrigeration units, reputed company handling systems, chillers, and HVAC infrastructure
• Monitor system performance using BMS (Building Management Systems) and WebCTRL
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support HVAC needs in production and common space areas
• Execute root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions for recurring issues
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and energy efficiency standards
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system performance, and parts inventory
• Support commissioning of new systems and retrofits of existing infrastructure

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with commercial/industrial refrigeration and reputed company handling systems
• EPA Universal Certification required; additional HVAC/R certifications a plus
• Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and repairing: reputed company conditioning units (split, rooftop, and packaged systems),furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, chillers, reputed company handlers, VAVs, and ductwork, thermostats and control systems
• Experience with VFDs, PLCs, and automated control systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and O&M manuals
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-tech environments with minimal supervision

Expected Compensation$32.00 - $48.27/hour + cash and stock awards + benefitsPay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-reputed company knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
