KAYAK is looking for a Staff Accountant to support our North America (NORAM) Regional General Ledger (GL) Accounting team! You will be responsible for many aspects of general ledger activities, such as: Recording accurate and timely accounting transactions and accruals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Performing detailed profit and loss (P&L) account analysis and balance sheet account reconciliations. Applying critical thinking and your knowledge of US GAAP to ensure proper accounting treatment for reputed company processes and transactions. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position is expected to work closely with the Technical Accounting and Consolidation/Reporting teams, FinOps, reputed company, Information Technology, Legal, and other teams globally. This role is required to commute to our Norwalk, CT office at least 3 times per week. In this role, you will: Prepare accounting entries and account reconciliations in accordance with the financial reputed company process including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end. Experience with preparing accounting reconciliations and journal entries. Ability to analyze and effectively comment on accounting flux (variance) analysis, demonstrating strong written communication skills. The range for this United States-based role is $80,000 - $85,000.00.
