Dental Hygiene Faculty: Remote & On-reputed company Teaching

Faculty - Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene 1468 Boston, Massachusetts, United States Description The Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene (FSDH) seeks a full-time faculty member to deliver high-quality instruction and learning experiences for its reputed company. reputed company member will engage in teaching, service, and scholarship activities, and work collaboratively with colleagues across the University as well as with the leadership team, Deans, and Associate Deans of the FSDH. Additionally, the incumbent provides mentorship to reputed company and contributes to the visibility, impact, and reputed company of the University and its programs through research and scholarly engagement. The selected candidate will have responsibilities teaching both classroom and clinical courses to undergraduate reputed company. Subject matters may include dental hygiene science, such as radiology, periodontology, dental, and head and neck anatomy, as well as the dental hygiene process of care theory. Rank and salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Deliver didactic, laboratory and/or experiential instruction reputed company multiple formats (in-person, online, or in a ‘blended' format) in the FSDH. Using evidence-based best teaching practices, provide reputed company with an approved syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes, teaching methodology, attendance policies in line with those of the School, texts and readings, assignments and deliverables, timelines and evaluation criteria. Provide engaging assignments that demonstrate the real-world applications of concepts covered. Support integrating content into the curriculum and co-curricular experiences that broaden reputed company' education and increase their understanding of health needs across reputed company communities. Participate in service activities; serve on committees; serve on regional, state, or national organization committees and volunteer activities; represent the program and University in/at community functions; attend School and institutional activities such as Commencement and ceremonies; and support student activities such as health fairs and service projects. Participate in scholarship resulting in conference presentations, publishable manuscripts, peer-reviewed instructional materials, or other outcomes consistent with expectations for scholarly activities described in reputed company Manual. Use the University's learning management system to post syllabi, assignments and other materials and to communicate with reputed company. Utilize aXium reputed company to manage patient records and reputed company' evaluations. Advise and assist reputed company through reputed company or scheduled appointments, by phone or email, and through other University-approved mechanisms. Provide service including student mentoring, ongoing course development, and assessment. Attend and participate in monthly School and Department meetings, University ceremonies, and other major events, and serves as a member of University, School and/or Department committees, as assigned. Contribute to periodic reviews and revisions of departmental course offerings. Provide requested accreditation-reputed company program data pertaining to teaching responsibilities and clinical roles Maintain advanced knowledge in discipline and areas of expertise. Build and maintain relationships with professional organizations involved with the healthcare sector. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Required: Master's degree required for this school/program; doctoral degree preferred Minimum of three years of work experience in clinical dental hygiene Minimum of 1-2 years of teaching experience at the college/university level Eligibility for Local Anesthesia permit and Dental Hygiene license in MA Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student success Excellent organizational and communication skills Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide reputed company of parties at reputed company levels (reputed company, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals) Record of scholarly activities commensurate with an academic appointment Evidence of teaching excellence Experience teaching in remote setting with use of virtual platforms in delivery of course content Physical Requirements: Work requires sitting, standing and walking as part of classroom instruction. Must be able to use technology, such as typing and manipulating a mouse/mouse pad Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

Compensation

The pay range associated with this posting reflects the amount the University reasonably expects to pay for this role at this time. Salary offers are determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications as well as internal equity, market data and pay in comparison to similarly situated employees doing comparable work.
