Remote, hybrid, or at our office in Weinheim As a Solution Architect ABAP (m/f/d) in the Enterprise Technology Services department, you will be responsible for the technical architecture, design, and further development of sophisticated SAP solutions. You will combine in-depth technological expertise with a clear eye for quality, scalability, and modern SAP standards. Your tasks
- Technical architecture & design: Development and management of sustainable architecture concepts for complex ABAP landscapes with a focus on SAP SD. Ensuring performance, stability, security, and compliance with modern SAP standards (Clean Core, S/4 conformity).
- Technical leadership & consulting: Working closely with developers, module consultants, and customers to evaluate technical requirements, derive solution strategies, and provide decision-making advice at the architectural level.
- Advanced development: Implementing sophisticated technical functions with ABAP OO, CDS, BOPF, OData, Fiori Elements, and modern S/4HANA development paradigms.
- Concept & Integration Design: Creation of technical concepts for system integration (SAP and non-SAP systems) and harmonization of interface landscapes.
- Governance & Code Excellence: Establishment and enforcement of development guidelines, performance of code reviews, and assessment of technical risks.
- Technological innovation: Evaluating new SAP technologies such as RAP, ABAP RESTful, cloud development, and deriving specific recommendations for use.
- Coaching & mentoring: Providing technical support and further development for our developer community, including support for junior and senior developers.
Your profile
- In-depth experience in ABAP development and technical architecture design.
- Thorough understanding of the SAP SD module, including process and integration knowledge; knowledge of FI/CO is an advantage.
- Strong expertise in:
- ABAP OO, CDS Views, BOPF, Gateway, OData
- Fiori Elements, ADT (Eclipse)
- S/4HANA technologies and clean core approaches
- Confident handling of complex development architectures and overall technical responsibility in projects.
- High quality orientation, structured working style, and passion for clean software design.
- Fluent German and English skills.
