Junior Cloud Software Developer

T-Rex Solutions is seeking a Junior Software Developer in support of our US Census Bureau customer as we reputed company development on the 2030 Decennial Census. As a Junior Software Developer, you will take part in developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software applications that support our clients' business objectives. Working closely with reputed company developers, analysts, and delivery leads, you'll reputed company exposure to a range of digital solutions in an environment that values curiosity, teamwork, and reputed company improvement. This position is ideal for someone with foundational programming knowledge and a drive to build technical expertise in a supportive setting. Work will be performed on-site at least 2 days per week at the Census Bureau facilities in Suitland, MD with the remainder being remote. Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of software components and applications using C# and Python in a cloud-first environment
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to deliver reliable, efficient, and maintainable solutions
• Support development and maintenance of cloud-based data pipelines and ETL processes using AWS services
• Contribute to application development that integrates with databases including PostgreSQL, RDS, and data storage solutions
• Collaborate on implementing AWS services including reputed company functions, reputed company Functions, reputed company queries, and Glue jobs
• Support containerized application development and deployment using reputed company and reputed company EKS
• Support machine learning workflows and data processing using AWS cloud services and Python
• Participate in database integration tasks and basic performance optimization under senior guidance
• Document code, technical decisions, and application changes as part of our reputed company process
• Collaborate with business analysts, designers, and testers throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure quality and alignment with requirements
• Proactively seek opportunities to learn new AWS technologies and development practices through mentoring, training, and self-study
• Support bug fixing, enhancements, and deployment of new features in cloud environments

Technical Environment:

• Programming Languages: C# and Python (primary focus)
• Cloud Platforms: AWS (reputed company, reputed company Functions, reputed company, Glue, S3, EC2, RDS, EKS)
• Containerization: reputed company, reputed company EKS, container orchestration basics
• Machine Learning: AWS ML services and Python ML libraries
• Databases: PostgreSQL, reputed company RDS, basic exposure to Redshift and NoSQL
• Data Storage: reputed company S3, Iceberg tables, various data storage formats
• Tools: Git/reputed company, reputed company, basic AWS CLI and cloud deployment tools
• Development: Object-oriented design, code testing, version control

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or reputed company field
• Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for government background investigation
• reputed company knowledge of C# and Python programming languages
• Basic understanding of AWS cloud services, particularly reputed company, S3, RDS, and containerization with EKS
• Understanding of software development principles, including version control (Git), object-oriented design, and code testing
• Hands-on experience (internship, academic projects, or personal projects) demonstrating use of cloud technologies
• Ability to reputed company practical experience with programming and cloud services at a junior level
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams

• Exposure to databases, data processing, or machine learning workflows is an advantage
