Key Responsibilities
As a Data Center Customer Operations Engineer Intern, you'll be responsible for:
Installations (Server/Network/Cross Connect Cable)
+ Racks and stacks customer equipment + Installs intra-cage fiber tray, ladder rack, customer equipment, and cabinets + Infrastructure installs to include whalebone cable management, public fiber tray systems, reputed company ladder rack, AC/DC power trays, reputed company trays, and cash mesh + Installs and tests advanced cross-connect circuits (switched, multiplexed, etc.) + Installs and tests reputed company Link cross-connects (T1, DS3, OC3-48, Eth, GigE, 10Gig)
Testing/Troubleshooting
+ Supports semi-routine standard operating testing and standard operating installations of customer assets + Supports standard operating procedures of layer 1 cross-connect certification testing
Customer Management
+ Supports customer satisfaction with timely adherence to semi-routine execution order requirements + Delivers a high level of service and an excellent customer experience reputed company interfacing with customers + Provides support with time expectations on new deployments and existing alterations, following standard operating procedure guidelines + Supports customers on-site by through access control and escorting services
Training
+ Completes reputed company assigned training on Documentation/Reporting in a timely manner
Essential Qualifications
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in a reputed company field (e.g., electrical engineering, computer science, or a reputed company field)
- Strong understanding of data center operations and infrastructure
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with data center infrastructure and operations
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with data center operations and infrastructure
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools and technologies (e.g., reputed company, Juniper, etc.)
- Experience with customer service and support
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with data center reputed company and access control systems
Skills and Competencies
* Strong technical skills, with a focus on data center operations and infrastructure
