Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Big Data Software Engineer to lead complex projects and drive innovation in our data-driven initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying large-scale data processing systems, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery. Key Responsibilities
* Lead reasonably complex projects and initiatives, driving innovation and delivering results in a fast-paced environment
- Contribute to the development of large-scale data processing systems, including design, development, testing, and deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of projects and initiatives
- Audit complex technical challenges, requiring in-depth analysis of technologies and methodologies
- Resolve complex issues and lead teams to meet existing client needs or potential new client needs, utilizing strong understanding of capabilities, strategies, systems, or compliance requirements
- Work closely with colleagues, managers, and senior leaders to determine technical challenges and achieve objectives
- Lead tasks and serve as a mentor, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Capabilities
* 3+ years of programming experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 3+ years of active experience with Hadoop
- 3+ years of experience with Teradata
- 3+ years of experience with MongoDB
- 3+ years of experience with AWS
- 3+ years of experience with GitHub and Bitbucket
- 3+ years of experience planning, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and recording for projects and initiatives
- 3+ years of experience with Python and Unix/Shell scripting, Scala, Flash, HBase, Oozie, Flume, and Kafka
- 3+ years of experience with Ansible
Desired Capabilities
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written) across all levels of technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and have a proactive mindset
- Experience in designing ETL data streams using mapping/work processes to extract data from SQL Server and Data Migration and Change from Prophet/Access/Excel Sheets using SQL Server SSIS
- Familiarity with working as a programmer at arenaflex
