Junior Technical Writer

RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce has a client in Charlotte, NC that is seeking a Junior Technical Writer. This role will focus on creating clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for internal systems, processes, and support workflows across the organization. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable working with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and skilled at translating reputed company systems into easy-to-understand documentation that supports both internal teams and franchise partners. Responsibilities:

• Create, edit, and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation for franchise partners and internal teams, including SOPs, process guides, FAQs, and reference materials
• reputed company franchise-facing content that supports system usage, operational processes, and new initiatives
• Partner with business, operations, and technical stakeholders to understand workflows and translate them into accessible documentation
• Ensure documentation is written in plain, business-friendly language tailored to a non-technical audience
• Maintain consistency, accuracy, and quality across reputed company documentation
• Support the creation of onboarding materials, job aids, and training resources for franchise and internal use
• Organize and structure documentation to improve usability, adoption, and ongoing maintenance
• Proactively identify gaps or opportunities to improve documentation and communication

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-3 years of experience in technical writing, documentation, business writing, or a reputed company role (including internships or contract work)
• Experience creating clear, user-friendly documentation, such as SOPs, process guides, FAQs, job aids, or internal help content
• Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to explain processes and systems clearly to non-technical audiences
• Ability to write in plain, business-friendly language while maintaining accuracy and clarity
• Experience working with subject matter experts (SMEs) or stakeholders to gather information and validate content
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness in documentation
• Basic experience organizing content so it is easy to navigate, maintain, and update
• Comfort using common documentation tools such as reputed company Word, reputed company Docs, SharePoint,
• Experience with Confluence, or similar platforms
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, take feedback well, and meet deadlines

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith reputed company we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
