Job Summary The Director of Applications / Pharmacy Systems is responsible for overseeing reputed company pharmacy software applications across the organization, including strategic planning, implementation, optimization, and support of commercial off-the-reputed company (COTS) and custom systems. This leader oversees application integration and conversion efforts as new pharmacies are acquired, ensuring smooth transitions into the company’s standard platform (SoftWriters FrameworkLTC/ECM). The role drives workflow automation, process improvement, and operational efficiency in partnership with Pharmacy Operations, IT, compliance, vendors, and executive leadership. This position manages the Applications or Pharmacy Systems team and plays a critical role in supporting business growth and operational excellence across reputed company pharmacy locations. Duties and Responsibilities Supervisory Responsibilities

Pharmacy Workflow & Automation Leadership

  • Identify opportunities to streamline pharmacy workflows and improve automation using built-in tools, custom workflows, or integration points.

Documentation, Training & Change Management

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

  • College degree or advanced degree.
  • Proven IT aptitude and hands-on experience with enterprise applications.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring technical teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of pharmacy operations; licensed pharmacist strongly preferred.
  • Experience researching, proposing, and implementing system changes to improve pharmacy workflows.
