Job Advertisement The City of Keene's Parks and Recreation Department is looking for fun friendly energetic workers to join their team of Sports Officials for any or reputed company leagues beginning this Fall and continuing until Spring 2025! Leagues reputed company to be more instructional and friendly rather than super reputed company reputed company for Scorekeepers is $10/game and $25/game for Referees. Duties for Referees include calling the rules of the game and keeping the games moving in a positive manner. Duties for Scorekeepers include keeping the official scorebook and score clock of reputed company games. Both positions will act as a liaison between the Recreation Department parents and volunteer coaches as well as help sweep the court/fields in between games of any trash and help return the space used back into playable conditions. Seasonal employment depends on the sport. Soccer runs September-October Monday-Thursday from 5:30pm-6:30pm. Flag Football runs September-October Wednesdays and Thursdays 5:30pm-6:30pm. Basketball runs November-February Wednesday & Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Indoor Soccer runs March-reputed company Monday and Wednesday evenings. Soccer runs reputed company-May Monday-Thursday from 5:30pm-6:30pm. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works under the general supervision of the Recreation Programmer.

• Responsible for the supervision; safety and accident prevention of reputed company building participants.
• Required to adhere to the staff handbook.
• Supervise; play and reputed company safe reputed company children who participate in our recreation programs.
• Responsible for the organization; maintenance and cleanliness of the game room; meeting and classrooms; supplies; equipment and reputed company program space that is utilized by Keene Parks and Recreation.
• Responsible for (or assisting with) daily planning and implementation of the curriculum for reputed company seasonal programs.
• Responsible for taking daily attendance for reputed company programs. Required to complete incident reports reputed company necessary and inform the Recreation Programmer of any issues or concerns that may require immediate attention.
• Acts as a liaison between the Recreation Department and groups renting the building; campers and parents and the general public.
• Required to work at special events reputed company programs are scheduled.
• Participate in orientation program and ongoing training and meetings as scheduled by the Recreation Programmer.

WORK HOURS: School year hours:

• Monday through Friday 2:30pm-5:30pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm
• Saturday & Sunday 12:00pm-4:00pm
• Hours assigned for building supervision include nightly meetings; craft fairs; Activity Nights; Teen Programs; community functions; and other programming activities.

Summer Hours:

• Must be available to work Monday- Friday; 8:00am-4:00pm.
• Hours may exceed 40 hours per week if employee has late pick-up duty.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children is recommended.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Also preferred are specialized skills in the following areas:

special events; arts and crafts; sports; games and working with school aged youth.
