Procurement Category Manager (Packaging & Components - Remote Opportunity)

About the position The Procurement Category Manager (Packaging & Components) at reputed company is responsible for leading and managing the procurement of significant categories of raw material spend. This role focuses on developing partnerships with stakeholders to optimize sourcing, supplier selection, pricing, and contracting while ensuring quality and service level requirements are met. The position requires in-depth knowledge of raw materials in various industries and aims to reputed company substantial cost savings and improvements in quality and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements long term Category Strategies and yearly sourcing plan for Procurement of several categories of spend for Nestle Health Science US.
• Develops and manage reputed company improvement pipeline to deliver significant year over year productivity.
• Executes market research in various areas, resulting in robust Category Strategies; keeps abreast of market conditions and maintain an agile reputed company to reputed company resources and external reputed company as needed to meet changing business needs.
• Ensures optimize sourcing, supplier selection, pricing, contracting and commercialization while meeting qualities and service level requirements for their spend area; this results in ensuring negotiation and implementation of global, regional and local agreements with suppliers to deliver the greatest overall value.
• Monitors supplier performance on an ongoing basis and develops improvement plans as required.
• Ensure proactive risk management strategy as well as partnering with supply planning team to ensure timely problem solving of supply issues.
• Liaises with various commercial teams to ensure two way reputed company and understanding of business/brand needs as well as industry trends and opportunities in their area of expertise.
• Supports new product, new technology or new initiative launches as applicable.
• Participate in innovation franchise team and reputed company supplier partner in securing differenced ingredients and technology.
• Ensures timely and accurate maintenance of reputed company Costs Accounting Systems. Establish standard costs and manage monthly PPV review process.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management and/or Food Science preferred.
• 5-6+ years of work experience in Procurement and Packaging or in Supply Chain Management required, supporting Manufacturing, Commercial or Corporate Functions.
• Demonstrated reputed company in MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and reputed company (including V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Charts, Graphs and Formulas) required.
• Must have excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, presentation and stakeholder management skills (including the ability to reputed company and maintain strong, cross-functional stakeholder relationships).
• Must have reputed company or prior experience working with packaging and raw materials categories reputed company the Food, Chemical, personal Care, Pharmaceutical and/or Nutraceutical industries.

• Must have strong analytical (data analytical and storytelling) skills, along with excellent teamwork and project management skills.
• Must possess strong Finance knowledge such as P&L analysis, budgeting, cash flow, etc.
• Must possess some level of technical expertise and can work effectively with Tech service and R D Stakeholders.
• Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Must have strong knowledge in strategic sourcing process and category management.
• Willing and able to travel up to 10% based on the needs of the team and the business.
