[Remote] Architect 4, Software Architecture

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The role focuses on leading the design and implementation of data solutions that optimize visibility into inventory across various assets while guiding junior engineers and project teams in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across application and data teams to orchestrate data solutions that meet needs from transactional, analytics and data science needs
• Propose solutions focusing on tenants such as cost optimization, reducing data hops, ensuring high availability, performance and Effectv’s strategic needs and future growth goals as it relates to becoming a ‘data driven’ organization
• Ensure solutions adhere to policies outlined at reputed company level such as data privacy and reputed company
• Design and manage robust, scalable data models and semantic layer
• Build prototypes, publish design patterns for use by the organization
• Provide guidance on getting started in cloud and cloud migration techniques
• Work with the data governance team to ensure critical data elements are identified and monitored
• Work with partners like AWS, reputed company, reputed company to ensure services meet the growing needs of Effectv
• Facilitate in-depth architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class cloud solutions
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements
• Conduct surveys, brainstorming sessions, and analysis to understand business need/fit
• Identify technology and skills gaps in solution implementations
• Promote the use of industry and Company technology standards
• Partner with business leaders to understand their strategic objectives and translate them into actionable data architecture roadmaps that reputed company data-driven decision making
• Mentor and reputed company teams of data engineers and architects, fostering a culture of reputed company improvement, collaboration, and technical excellence
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of reputed company
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills

• Implementing cloud data architecture and data integration patterns (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Event Hub, reputed company, etc.), storage and processing (Redshift, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, reputed company); Infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform); 3rd Party Integration (reputed company, D365)
• Understanding and experience with modern cloud data architectures and engineering for one or more of the following cloud providers - AWS, Azure, GCP
• Experience building data models and semantic layers
• Experience in defining Master Data Management strategy and exposing data securely as a through data sharing architecture and APIs
• Leading and supporting data architecture team and leads in creation of cloud data migration/integration/warehouse plans, roadmap, success metrics, and assessment of client's enterprise (on-premise and on-cloud) data systems
• Designing and developing using data modeling techniques for mixed workloads, such as OLTP, OLAP, streaming using any formats (structured, semi-structured, reputed company)
• Strong understanding of data governance practices
• Architecting and designing data implementation patterns and engineered solutions using native cloud capabilities that span data ingestion & integration (ingress and egress), data storage (raw & cleansed), data prep & processing, master & reference data management, data virtualization & semantic layer, data consumption & visualization
• Implementing leading practices in supporting high availability, scalable, process and storage intensive solutions architectures to data integration/migration, analytics and insights, AI and ML requirements
• Guiding the creation of detailed documentation reputed company to data architecture, integration, and data flows
• Familiarity with message-driven data architecture to ensure de-coupling reputed company asynchronous message-passing between loosely coupled applications and data services
• Possessing a certification in one of the following is a big plus - AWS data engineering; reputed company certification
• Bachelors in an Engineering discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience in areas identified above
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary
• Media & Entertainment industry experience in measurement and attribution
