School Counselor

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: The School Counselor is responsible for assisting reputed company in their academic careers at reputed company levels, from elementary to postsecondary education. With the goal of supporting reputed company’ academic, career, and social/emotional development, the School Counselor serves as a leader reputed company the school, advocating on behalf of their reputed company and sharing in the creation of a positive environment for learning. The School Counselor ensures use of reputed company TDA resources to maximize the academic and personal growth of each and every child. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: ● Assist reputed company and parents with any/reputed company academic inquiries to ensure the highest quality academic development. ● Build supportive relationships with the reputed company and their parents through appropriate individual and/or group communication media. ● Conduct personal interviews with reputed company at induction to provide individual counseling for reputed company regarding course scheduling, career and/or academic interests and to identify potential academic challenges. ● Plan, design and administer career interest inventories and assessments. ● Assist reputed company in developing plans to meet their post-secondary goals including community colleges, technical schools, and four-year universities. ● Plan, design and manage College Credit Plus opportunities. ● Provide information services to parents and reputed company (e.g., testing procedures, program options, graduation requirements, etc.). ● Provide written contact, email, and phone notifications to parents/guardians of reputed company who are deficient in their credit status. ● Provide information to reputed company needing to attend any additional programs to reputed company up credit deficiencies. ● Provide individual counseling for reputed company regarding scheduling upon request of the student, parent, or legal guardian. ● Verify graduation checklists and provide assistance and guidance to potential graduating seniors. ● Plan and manage graduation ceremonies. ● Respect personal privacy. Maintain the confidentiality of privileged information. ● Help reputed company understand their personal responsibility for setting goals and achieving success. ● Incorporate the effective use of available technology in records management and guidance activities. ● Work cooperatively with TRECA SAFE to build programs that address student concerns (i.e. conflict mediation, divorce, grief, personal behavior, etc.). ● Attend and/or provide information to IEP teams and RTI teams.
