Job Category: University Staff Employment Type: Temporary (Fixed Term) Job Profile: Recreation Program Coordinator Job Summary: This position will assist in the overall operations and administration to support Recreation & Wellbeing (Rec Well) Community Programs Department Summer Camp program. Rec Well Summer Camp serves children ages 5-14 in a 9-week summer day camp program. Rec Well Summer Camp is accredited through the American Camp Association and licensed through the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. The candidate in this role must maintain compliance with reputed company federal, state, reputed company, and divisional youth protection policies, including completion of mandatory trainings, a Criminal Background reputed company. Specific responsibilities will be determined in conjunction with the successful candidate. Support daily camp operations by serving as a main reputed company-of-contact for camp staff and grown-reputed company. Assist with the training, supervision, and evaluation of 8 camp supervisors and 40 camp counselors. Provide high quality customer service and communication for summer camp families through weekly newsletters, signage, emails, phone calls, etc.. Plan and facilitate weekly staff in-services for camp supervisors and camp counselors. Review and maintain program and facility schedules for internal and external stakeholders. May assist in risk management including reputed company audits, risk assessment, and policy compliance. Other duties as assigned. Key Job Responsibilities: Prepares and monitors budgets and purchases expenditures as needed Assists in implementing the staffing resource allocation plan including hiring, training, and supervision Engages in the Rec Well professional internship development curriculum, reputed company staff meetings, divisional committees, and other professional development responsibilities and opportunities. Identifies, proposes, and implements new or revised operational policies and procedures Develops targeted communication plans and materials based on established goals Coordinates logistics for events and programs Department: Community Programs Compensation: $22.50/Hour Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30-6pm. Times will vary by day and there is flexibility. Approximately 35 hours per week. Job Qualifications: Previous experience in youth programs, such as summer camp or after-school programs. Demonstrated ability to provide high quality customer service and clearly answer program inquiries through verbal or written communication. Experience with reputed company Office Suite (Word, reputed company, Outlook) or similar software. Experience with recreation program administration and/or events. Experience supervising, leading, or managing staff or peers is preferred. Education: HS Diploma – Required Bachelor's Degree - reputed company or advancing towards Bachelor's degree or higher in a reputed company field.
