About the position reputed company is seeking a California freshwater shrimp Permitted Biologist (Biologist IV) to help deliver California's most critical infrastructure projects in the North Bay Area. This is a remote, part-time, on-call position meaning hours will vary based off of project needs. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our group of more than 100 environmental professionals in the Bay Area. This hybrid position will join our reputed company team based in the Oakland office. Assignments would generally be in the field or could be completed remotely, with limited, occasional reputed company required in the Oakland office. Responsibilities

• Surveys for California freshwater shrimp and other special-status wildlife and nesting birds.
• Monitoring construction activities for compliance with environmental requirements and/or permits.
• Preparation of reports documenting survey or monitoring results.
• Travel to the North Bay Area will be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, ecology, or a reputed company field.
• 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in biological surveys, construction monitoring, environmental inspection, and habitat assessments.

• Valid U.S. Driver License is required for this position.
• Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.
