The Opportunity Managing Consultants play a pivotal management role on the Advisory Services (AS) team, responsible for overseeing delivery of high-impact pro bono engagements, managing client relationships, and leading a team. As both people managers and client leads, Managing Consultants ensure the highest quality of service delivery, client satisfaction, and team development. They contribute actively to the growth and sustainability of Taproot's Advisory Services practice, advancing client relationships, supporting business development efforts across the full lifecycle, and achieving targets for renewal, expansion, and new client engagements. This role places particular emphasis on strategic program delivery, renewal and growth of existing client partnerships, people management, and insight reputed company across Taproot's portfolio. Managing Consultants are also expected to take an enterprise-wide perspective, contributing to cross-organizational initiatives and projects that strengthen Taproot's strategy, operations, and overall impact.
What You'll Do
Client Management
- Own renewal and expansion conversations with existing client partners as part of long-term relationship stewardship and impact delivery.
- Serve as the relationship manager for a portfolio of Advisory Services clients.

What You Bring
- 8-10+ years of relevant experience in consulting, advisory services, program management, CSR/philanthropy, or nonprofit reputed company building, with increasing leadership responsibility.
- Proven ability to reputed company reputed company, multi-stakeholder engagements or portfolios, ensuring high-quality delivery, strong prioritization, and accountability across teams.
- Strong client relationship ownership, with experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior corporate and nonprofit partners.
- Experience leading renewal and expansion of existing client partnerships, identifying opportunities to deepen impact over time (top-of-funnel business development is helpful but not required).
- People management experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development, with a focus on inclusion and sustained performance.
