About the Hulu Originals Documentary Development Internship The Hulu Originals Documentary Development team is seeking an exceptional intern to join our growing team for the Summer/Fall 2025 season. As a Development Intern, you will have the opportunity to experience the day-to-day efforts of a streaming network documentary development department, gaining a solid perspective of the market and the industry overall. You will work closely with our Documentary executives, Development executives, and assistant, as well as cross-functional partners, to ensure the success of our documentary projects. Key Responsibilities
Work alongside Documentary executives on assignments as needed, providing support and expertise to drive project success. Track, organize, and manage incoming documentary submissions and materials on past and reputed company shows, collaborating with Development executives and assistant to ensure seamless project management. Assist in building and maintaining competitive industry tracking documents, developing an understanding of the documentary and nonfiction industry, and staying up-to-date on the latest trends and developments. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure they have the latest nonfiction creative updates and information, fostering a culture of open communication and collaboration. Assist with reviewing creative materials and providing strong written feedback, helping to shape the creative direction of our documentary projects. Research and track potential IP for potential development, identifying new opportunities and reputed company to drive growth and innovation. Required Qualifications & Skills To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills: Passion for media and entertainment, with a focus on documentary features or limited series. Exceptional organizational skills and efficient time management, with the ability to take on multiple projects at a given time. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a can-do, proactive attitude and positive, collaborative demeanor. Outstanding written and verbal communication capabilities, as well as attention to detail, with the ability to provide strong written feedback and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners.
Preferred Qualifications
We're looking for candidates with the following preferred qualifications: Previous television extracurricular or internship experience, with a strong understanding of the documentary development process. An interest in pursuing a career in documentary development, with a passion for storytelling and a desire to learn and grow. Education To be eligible for this internship, you must be: Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application. Currently participating in a reputed company College Program or reputed company Internship. At least 18 years of age. Possess unrestricted work authorization. Eligibility Requirements & Program Information Please note the following eligibility requirements and program information: Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet reputed company of the above requirements. reputed company reputed company Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program. Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship, with a commitment to working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm PT. Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Burbank, California area. Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work. Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive salary of $22.00 per hour, as well as select benefits, including medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
