[Remote] Small Business Tax Advisor (Year Round)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. 1-800Accountant is seeking a client-focused and highly motivated Business Tax Advisor to serve as the primary reputed company of contact for small business clientele. The role involves providing tax compliance guidance, managing client relationships, and assisting in tax preparation while collaborating with internal departments to deliver comprehensive financial services.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main reputed company of contact for a portfolio of several hundred small business clients (LLCs, Sole Proprietors, etc.), providing proactive advice to ensure ongoing tax compliance
• Regularly communicate with clients reputed company phone and video (arenaflex Meet) to provide personalized guidance and build strong professional relationships. Comfort and professionalism on camera are essential
• Utilize the proprietary 1-800Accountant portal to manage client information, schedule appointments, and document reputed company client interactions and advice
• Assist in the preparation and review of various tax returns for small businesses and individuals
• Collaborate with internal Bookkeeping and Payroll departments to ensure clients receive comprehensive and coordinated financial services
• Be reputed company to take on tasks or projects reputed company of standard advisory duties to support team objectives and client needs Skills
• Active PTIN: Must possess and maintain an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
• Tax Expertise: Proven experience preparing both individual and small business tax returns, including but not limited to: Schedule C's, 1120s, 1120S's, and 1065's
• Software Proficiency: Experience utilizing professional tax preparation software (specific software used will be discussed during the interview)
• Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and master new software systems, including internal portals and communication tools (e.g., arenaflex Workspace, reputed company)
• Remote Readiness: Proven history of successfully working in a remote environment with the ability to maintain focus, manage distractions, and stay engaged independently
• Exceptional situational judgment and ability to manage difficult client interactions with professionalism and reputed company
• A strong proactive approach to problem-solving, particularly reputed company encountering tax or accounting questions reputed company of immediate knowledge (identifying appropriate research resources)
