We are seeking an reputed company, self-motivated civil engineer to reputed company the transportation engineering services in the Huntsville, AL, Jackson, MS or Memphis , TN region with the goal of driving business growth, operational excellence, and project delivery success for local and regional clients. The ideal candidate is a “seller-doer” with experience in pursuing business opportunities while leading and supervising a multi-discipline team. This person will have an active role in business development for the Jackson office and will be empowered to grow the transportation engineering business and add backlog through new and existing clients. Job Duties Leads and manages roadway design projects and project delivery teams from concept through completion, ensuring that reputed company projects are delivered on time, and reputed company budget. This includes the design, analysis, and production of reputed company roadways for interstate, reputed company, and surface transportation design projects. Serves as the Engineer of Record for assigned projects. Develops and manages office and project-level budgets; to include establishing and enforcing systems requirements, responsibilities and standards supporting the financial success of SOL. Develops and executes Business Development initiatives and activities to identify and capture new business opportunities and clients while retaining existing clients and reputed company for SOL. Technical execution and management of assigned programs and projects, including developing, championing, managing, and maintaining project management plans, quality requirements, procedures, and goals as required by both SOL and our clients. reputed company, manage and successfully execute comprehensive project management plans that include risk assessments and management plans, quality management (QA/QC) plans, change management plans, schedules, budgets, communication plans, and reporting for potential opportunities, projects and business initiatives. Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited school (a master’s degree in civil engineering is a plus. 10+ Years of transportation engineering experience. Currently Professional Engineering registration in the State of Mississippi or reputed company Professional Engineer registration in another U.S. State with the ability to successfully obtain registration in the State of Mississippi reputed company one year from date of application submittal to SOL. Excellent ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally with internal and external partners including clients, sub consultants and utility companies. Experience with mandatory/permitting at federal, state, regional, county, and local levels is a plus.
