Network Automation Engineer II (Remote)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• reputed company and maintain Python and Ansible automations for network engineering workflows.
• Program backend automation tasks for provisioning and deploying networking equipment and adjacent backend systems.
• Work with APIs and data pipelines
• Participate in code demonstrations
• Write low level design documentation and some high level design documentation
• Troubleshoot and optimize automations
• Collaborate with senior engineers to assist in defining best practices and standards
• Collaborate directly with network engineers and stakeholders to create and interpret user requirements for Agile user stories and features. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Similar Fields is Preferred.
• Alternatively, 5 + Years Experience in Network Engineering with strong Hands-On Experience with Network Automation and scripting in Python will be considered.
• Strong Experience programming in Python
• Strong Experience in backend automation, API development and data structures
• Strong Familiarity with databases (SQL)
• Experience with web applications using Javascript and React
• Experience with containerization (reputed company, Kubernetes, Openshift)
• Solid understanding of DevOps Best Practices and arenaflex/CD workflows
• Experience with network automation technologies such as NETCONF, Netmiko, NAPALM, TextFSM, SNMP, Direct CLI, and Ansible network modules. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment under the direction of senior engineers or analysts.
• Must be adaptable and willing to learn new technologies and methods as part of ongoing development.
• Position may require occasional on-call availability to support data pipeline monitoring or issue resolution.
• Position may require up to 10% travel.
• Basic experience with data processing or pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend), gained through coursework, projects, or internships.
