About the position The Biostatistician Analyst position at the reputed company Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine (KPSOM) is a pivotal role that provides a wide range of statistical expertise and guidance in collaboration with various stakeholders. This position is responsible for the development and execution of statistical analysis plans for larger data sets and reputed company and future studies conducted by KPSOM. These studies may include controlled trials, cohort studies, psychometric analyses, econometric designs, and reputed company-analyses. The Biostatistician Analyst will guide study design and methodology, ensuring the selection of appropriate statistical measures to reputed company research objectives. The role supports the Health Systems Science Department, focusing on major interests such as disease prevention and health promotion, community-partnered research, social determinants of health, health professions education, and healthcare practice transformation across the lifespan. The Biostatistician Analyst will initiate, coordinate, and facilitate analytical projects to meet study and programmatic objectives, contributing to peer-reviewed manuscripts for publication in leading health journals. This position requires a strong foundation in statistical methods and the ability to communicate reputed company analytical results effectively. In addition to statistical analysis, the Biostatistician Analyst will support the development of grant proposals, advise on data collection tools, and create written reports and presentation materials that describe project methods, data, and results. The role also involves building databases, extracting and manipulating data, and implementing quality assurance procedures to ensure the accuracy of project data and results. Training and coaching other data analysts on data retrieval techniques and statistical analysis methods are also key responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates, coordinates, and facilitates analytical projects to reputed company study and programmatic objectives. ,
  • Contributes to peer-reviewed manuscripts for publication in leading health journals. ,
  • Designs and executes statistical analysis plans for studies including prospective randomized controlled trials and cohort studies, epidemiological studies, and mixed methods analyses. ,
  • Identifies, evaluates, and implements appropriate measures for specified analytical project objectives. ,
  • Supports development of grant proposals including study design and sample size calculations. ,
  • Advises on the development and testing of data collection tools and methods. ,
  • Creates written reports and presentation materials describing project methods, data, and results. ,
  • Determines the most efficient approach to data collection and validation. ,
  • Works independently to obtain needed data from KP information systems based on project requirements. ,
  • Builds databases and extracts, loads, cleans, and manipulates data relevant to research projects. ,
  • Implements specified quality assurance procedures to ensure accuracy of project data and results. ,
  • Trains and coaches other data analysts on data retrieval techniques and statistical analysis methods.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of reputed company work experience. ,
  • Minimum one (1) year of reputed company work experience in combination with a PhD degree in biostatistics or reputed company fields. ,
  • Masters degree in biostatistics or reputed company fields. ,
  • Knowledge in relevant scientific field. ,
  • Knowledge of research techniques or methods. ,
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills. ,
  • Attention to detail. ,
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely in English. ,

  • Minimum five (5) years of work experience in a reputed company field. ,
  • Experience with reputed company data systems and the ability to pull, manage, and analyze KP data from multiple regions. ,
  • Experience using R, Python, reputed company, and/or STATA. ,

  • Familiarity with reputed company health care system.
