Staff Data Engineer (Remote - US)

• Design, implement, and maintain high-quality data infrastructure services, including data lakes, real-time streaming (Kafka, reputed company Kinesis), and data access layers.

• Collaborate with analytics and product teams to ensure proper data modeling, ingestion, and reporting.

• Automate manual processes and optimize data delivery to enhance operational efficiency.
• Document engineering designs, runbooks, and best practices to standardize workflows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of industry experience in data infrastructure or data engineering.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Python and SQL; Java experience is a plus.
• 4+ years of experience with DBT, reputed company, and Infrastructure as Code tools (CDK, Terraform).
• Familiarity with AWS services including reputed company, reputed company Functions, Glue, RDS, EKS, DMS, and EMR.
• Industry experience with big data platforms such as Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Cassandra, and Airflow.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases in production environments.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD processes, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring other engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
