[Remote] DevOps Engineer - Remote Role

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Elegant Enterprise-Wide Solutions, Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support and maintain database administration in various environments. The role involves providing operational support, managing database infrastructure, and ensuring reputed company and compliance of database systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and maintenance of reputed company SQL Database Administration, reputed company) Database Infrastructure, and DB2 z/OS Database Administration
• Provide expert knowledge and experience to assist State staff in managing database infrastructure and database environments across multiple networks, including mainframe, on-premise, and AWS environments
• Provide operational support and work closely with state staff to reputed company day-to-day system administration, database reputed company, maintenance, and operational activities in support of client’s database environments, ensuring a successful and healthy database infrastructure
• Enforce reputed company database architecture and relevant procedures in accordance with established policies and standards
• Update and enforce reputed company for reputed company databases, proactively monitor databases to identify potential problems, and troubleshoot and correct database issues reputed company and in a timely manner

Skills

• Five (5) years of FTE experience in reputed company technology implementations in a product-centric environment
• Possess a bachelor's degree in an IT-reputed company or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis
• Five (5) years of FTE hands-on experience with System Administration and databases, and AWS services using AWS Management Console and services including reputed company EC2 (reputed company Cloud computing), reputed company RDS (Relational Database Services), reputed company ElastiCache, reputed company S3 (Simple Storage Service), reputed company reputed company, reputed company VPC (Virtual Private Cloud), Web Application Firewall, Identity Access Management (IAM) Roles, User Management, Compute Instance Management, and Cloudwatch
• Five (5) years of FTE data architecture and database administration expertise on MS SQL server, reputed company and AWS cloud databases
• Five (5) years of FTE hands-on experience in providing solutions to optimize database performance and create performance benchmarks of the system, and improve standards
• Five (5) years of FTE experience with database hardening, server configuration for reputed company to ensure that databases are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Five (5) years of FTE experience in enforcing database reputed company policies and audit logging mechanisms
• Four (4) years of FTE experience of editing, deploying and managing AWS resources using AWS Cloudformation and Terraform
• Experience with reputed company cloud-native services and architecture configurations (i.e., reputed company Cognito, reputed company SNS (Simple Notification Service), reputed company Kinesis, reputed company Inspector, reputed company Auto-scaling, reputed company IAM (Identity and Access Management), Dynamo DB, reputed company SQS (Simple Queue Service), AWS reputed company, reputed company Managed Images (AMI), and CodeCatalyst). Six (6) points will be given for every twelve (12) months of experience for a maximum of thirty (30) points
• Experience with large migration projects to cloud. Six (6) points will be given for every twelve (12) months of experience for a maximum of thirty (30) points
• Experience demonstrating strong technical and people skills to liaison between technical, business and leadership teams. Six (6) points will be given for every twelve (12) months of experience for a maximum of thirty (30) points
• Possession of an AWS Database Specialty certification. The state will consider other types of certificates. Six (6) points will be given for every twelve (12) months of experience for a maximum of thirty (30) points
• Experience with data replication, data sharing & data modeling. Six (6) points will be given for every twelve (12) months of experience for a maximum of thirty (30) points
