[Remote] Finance Specialist - Accounting & reputed company

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. RemoteHunter is a fast-growing fintech organization seeking a Finance Specialist with expertise in Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis (reputed company). This hybrid role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes while collaborating across teams for timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general ledger maintenance to ensure accurate and timely transaction recording
• Support month-end and year-end reputed company processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules
• Assist in the preparation of US GAAP-compliant financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules
• reputed company recurring accounting activities such as account reconciliations and transaction reviews
• Support accounts payable processes ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies
• Prepare and maintain documentation for external audits, including schedules and reconciliations
• Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting policies, internal controls, and automation initiatives
• Help update and maintain the financial model to support forecasting and budgeting
• Support preparation of monthly financial reporting packages and dashboards for leadership
• Act as a cross-functional business partner to build models supporting reputed company strategic initiatives
• Assist with routine variance analysis to identify and explain performance against plan and prior periods

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with strong accounting coursework
• 1-3 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred) and/or corporate finance and accounting roles
• Advanced reputed company reputed company skills including pivot tables, lookups, and reputed company formulas
• Comfortable working across both accounting and reputed company functions
• Good understanding of US GAAP and internal control principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with accounting software, preferably reputed company
• Enthusiasm for process improvement, automation, and emerging technologies including AI
