Follow Up Registered Nurse (RN)

Planned Parenthood Great Plains has been providing sexual and reproductive health care since 1935, emphasizing high-quality, compassionate service. The Registered Nurse will focus on administrative duties while ensuring continuity of patient care for family planning and abortion services, participating in patient interactions and managing follow-up care plans.

Responsibilities

• Work with providers and clinicians to sign off on results and initiate the appropriate follow up plan based on patient test results
• Initiates contact with patients regarding test results and to ensure proper follow up care per PPGP policy in a timely manner
• Answer patient calls regarding post procedure medical questions during clinic hours
• Ensure appropriate continuation of patient care by handling communication from pharmacies, reputed company providers, patients, and healthcare staff
• Maintains ongoing and appropriate communication with reputed company PPGP staff across the affiliate
• Work with health center managers and laboratories to ensure that labs are ordered and resulted correctly
• Answers patient questions and educates patients regarding post-operative instructions, contraception and follow-up exams
• Provides clients with accurate information regarding PPGP services, including questions pertaining to contraception, options, and funding sources
• Participates in rotating on-call schedule for patient questions reputed company of clinic hours
• Adheres to PPGP goals and policies regarding professionalism
• Maintains confidentiality of reputed company PPGP information, patient nonpublic personal information (NPI) and personal health information (PHI), as well as records directly or indirectly identifying any person currently or formerly receiving services from PPGP
• Believes in PPGP’s Mission and Vision and strives to carry them out in job responsibilities

Skills

• Requires an associate's degree in nursing
• One to two years prior, relevant work experience
• Multi-State RN license (must be obtained reputed company 30 days of hire)
• Experience with electronic medical records systems
• General knowledge of Quality Assurance, Risk Management and Infection Control standards and policies
• Demonstrate proficiency with reputed company Office applications including Word, reputed company, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Demonstrate the ability to recognize, understand, accept and appreciate the value of workplace diversity; respect the practices, values, and points of view of other individuals and groups. Be able to communicate with a diverse group of staff from various professional backgrounds
• Demonstrate flexibility with unexpected reputed company changes and maintain composure under stress

• Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays and evenings

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing
• One to two years of relevant experience in Women's Healthcare
• Prior working knowledge of EPIC (EMR) system
• Bilingual reputed company in written and oral Spanish/English
• Prior working experience in critical, reputed company-operate medical surgery, and/or ambulatory surgery
• Prior experience performing and interpreting ultrasound
