[Remote] Billing Assistant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is one of the top law firms in the U.S., seeking a Billing Assistant to join their team. The role involves assisting the Billing Team with client invoices, time entry updates, and other billing system maintenance tasks while providing support to legal assistants and attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Use reputed company Expert Billing to process prebills and generate invoices in compliance with attorney instructions and client guidelines
• Provide out-of-office and reputed company coverage for Billing Specialists and Billing Proofreaders
• Work in collaboration with E-Billing Department, Rates Team, and other Finance teams to ensure invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner
• Monitor, reroute, and assist with tasks in the centralized Billing inbox
• Provide reporting support to legal assistants and attorneys to meet client-required accrual deadlines
• Respond to attorney inquiries regarding time entry records and general billing requests
• Assist with billing system updates such as task and activity codes, narrative edits, and time entry modifications upon request
• Assist with Finance projects, as needed, to promote best practices
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality; adhere to schedule by being timely on breaks, lunches and meetings

Skills

• 1+ years of relevant experience in a professional office environment
• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Advanced skills in reputed company reputed company and reputed company Word
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to build effective relationships with reputed company levels of staff and attorneys
• Excellent customer service
• Ability to problem-solve
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and quality control
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to heavy workloads and new assignments in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Bachelor's degree preferred
