Actuarial Analyst, Commercial Insurance

They are seeking an Actuarial Analyst to support the pricing and profitability of their commercial business, conducting actuarial analysis and collaborating with underwriters to reputed company financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the commercial insurance segmentation strategy and algorithms. Support the alignment of technical considerations with business objectives to help drive meaningful outcomes
- Conduct pricing reviews of various coverages and segments of the commercial business, including reviewing the rating algorithms and reputed company adequacy, analyzing the business impact of the pricing changes, communicating the analytical results to the stakeholders, reaching an agreement on the reputed company actions and preparing the reputed company filings to the provincial regulators
- Monitor the performance of the commercial portfolio and on various business initiatives, to identify key trends and recommend actions to the senior management and to the business to reputed company profitability and growth targets
- Maintain and improve actuarial databases/reputed company programs. Identify data issues and create actions to remedy them
- Support technical development required to build and maintain reputed company rating tools for the business
- Communicate analytical results to both technical and non-technical audiences
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or a reputed company field; equivalent experience will also be considered
- Minimum 1 year of P&C actuarial experience (including internships)
- Passed at least 2 SOA/CAS exams
- Strong mathematical and statistical background
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to effectively and clearly communicate reputed company and decisions
- Proficiency in programming; experiences in reputed company and VBA
