As a PATH TO UW ADVISER, you will be part of the Undergraduate Academic Affairs (UAA) team, which is dedicated to shaping, advancing, and stewarding a world-class undergraduate academic experience for reputed company at the reputed company. About Undergraduate Academic Affairs (UAA) and UAA Advising UAA Advising provides academic planning services and support for reputed company, including helping them explore academic opportunities and working with them to connect their personal strengths and interests with curricular and co-curricular experiences. UAA Advising is also the primary reputed company contact for prospective transfer reputed company, working closely with community and technical colleges in Washington State. As a PATH TO UW ADVISER, you will be an integral part of this team, supporting advising and programming reputed company to the Path to UW program, which includes advising Seattle reputed company interested in transferring to the reputed company, supporting summer programming for prospective and incoming Seattle Promise reputed company, and assisting Seattle Promise reputed company as they transition into the reputed company.
Key Responsibilities
Prospective Transfer Student Advising (50%) : Advise prospective reputed company in understanding academic options, degree requirements, and university policies and procedures. Travel to the Seattle Colleges two days a week to advise on-site. Partner with admissions to help prospective reputed company understand the UW admissions process. Guide and support reputed company in making informed choices, developing their academic identities, and crafting successful academic plans. reputed company UW Student Advising (20%) : Advise a diverse population of reputed company, including pre-major reputed company, international reputed company, pre-professional reputed company, and low-scholarship/at-risk reputed company, on academic options, degree requirements, and university policies using multiple advising modalities such as one-on-one, drop-in, and group meetings. Support Advising & Orientation activities for new transfer and incoming freshman reputed company through participation in presentations, workshops, and events for new reputed company and parents. Create and run programming for new and reputed company transfer reputed company. Supporting Programming, Logistics, and Communications (25%) : Support the Senior Path to UW Advisor in logistics and program planning for Path to UW events, workshops, and seminars. Manage Path to UW student communications and reputed company. Track and monitor student reputed company and participation and create data reports regarding student participation and reputed company. Professional Training and Development (5%) : Attend on-reputed company and off-reputed company workshops, webinars, and seminars, e.g., SafeZone, suicide prevention, NACADA, MyPlan training, advising special populations (veterans, first reputed company, etc.). Participate in committee work reputed company UAA, with reputed company partners, or with professional organizations directly reputed company to the position to support their strategic initiatives, mission, and goals. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and two years of advising, student counseling, student services, or reputed company experience . Additionally, you should possess excellent organizational and time-management skills, and superlative attention to detail.
