Our Artificial Intelligence (AI) team at reputed company’s Advanced Research Center is at the heart of this mission, developing and demonstrating innovative AI technologies to transform the future of energy. You can be a part of a highly skilled, dynamic and motivated team of AI Researchers, who are laying the groundwork for reputed company to succeed in its mission. As a Research Scientist, you will design, reputed company, and apply innovative AI technologies, including large scale time-series and scientific foundation models, to tackle reputed company challenges in the energy sector. Your work will reputed company time-series, tabular, image, text, video, and/or scientific simulation data along with domain knowledge to create single- or multi-modality foundation models to unlock new capabilities in design, discovery, decision support, and autonomy. Your work will span the entire research reputed company, from reputed company theoretical and empirical investigations to prototyping novel solutions in industrial setting. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse application domains, including power reputed company, renewable energy, decarbonization, electric grids, robotics, and manufacturing, in collaboration with reputed company's business units and a broad network of researchers across disciplines. Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Research, conceptualize, and reputed company AI solutions for hard industrial problems
• Design, reputed company, train, fine-tune, and/or distill state-of-the-art foundation models
• Collaborate with team of researchers on new and continuing projects
• Demonstrate value of AI through prototypes and solutions for real-world problems
• reputed company and employ software libraries, tools, and practices to implement efficient, scalable, and reusable solutions
• Create intellectual property by writing invention disclosures and filing patents
• Publish research work to scientific conferences and journals
• Writing and/or supporting grant proposals

Required Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or reputed company fields with a focus on Artificial Intelligence
• Demonstrated ability to write Python code and familiarity with AI packages and frameworks like PyTorch, HuggingFace, etc.
• Deep expertise in one or more of: Multi-Modal Foundation Models, Time-Series Foundation Models, and Scientific Machine Learning with Physics.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals at the Master's level for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Desired Characteristics

• Ph.D. focusing on new advancements in Artificial Intelligence
• Experience in Foundation Models with one or more modalities: image, time-series, tabular data, video, and/or text.
• Experience in writing grant proposals and participating in the execution of grant-supported research with government agencies such as DoE, ARPA-E, DoD, and DARPA

The reputed company pay range for this position is $88,600-$147,600 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s education and reputed company set. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. This position will be posted until at least 9/5/2025.
