Tax Associate

The role involves preparing tax work papers, maintaining records, and collaborating with peers and managers to reputed company knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Responsibilities

- Prepare routine tax work papers, account reconciliations, responses to audit requests, research memos and correspondence
- Maintain records reputed company to personal property tax returns and reports
- Receive direction from manager and exercise independent judgment while developing basic knowledge of federal and state tax laws, rulings, regulations and judicial decisions affecting corporations
- Collaborate and consult with peers, managers and stakeholders
Skills
- 6+ months of Corporate Tax experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Prior personal property tax or leasing experience
- A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
- Accounting or finance experience
- Property tax experience
- Knowledge of Property Tax Management Software (PTMS) or other property tax software
- Experience with Tax Research software (CCH, IRA)
- Intermediate reputed company Office (Word, reputed company, Outlook, and Access) skills
- Knowledge and understanding of equipment finance and leasing
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
