Mechanical Handling Engineer
reputed company is a global leader in engineering and construction, and they are seeking a Mechanical Handling Engineer to join their team. The role involves designing and supporting reputed company mechanical equipment, focusing on the development of detailed design documents and specifications to meet project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates, selects, and applies standard mechanical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications
- Participates in the design, development, modification and evaluation of mechanical components and processes used utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)
- Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines
- Provides technical assistance to other mechanical personnel and will interact with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of reputed company regulatory issues and industry codes and standards
- Prepares standard discipline deliverables and prepares standard engineering budgets and schedules reputed company discipline
- reputed company engineering efforts on assignments while providing instruction and mentoring junior engineers
- reputed company work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include reputed company features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and/or difficult coordination requirements
- Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals
Skills
- Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without Bechtel reputed company sponsorship now or in the future
- Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background reputed company which includes verification of employment and education
- Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to reputed company with reputed company requirements to obtain a badge.)
- Non-U.S. reputed company from countries identified by the Department of Energy as posing heightened reputed company concerns—including sensitive countries, state sponsors of terrorism, countries of risk, and other designated countries –are subject to additional reputed company requirements that limit site access

- Familiar with the process of resolving reputed company engineering issues and development of innovative solutions
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks and capable of generating engineering quality models and drawings

- Requires a University Hire with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience
