[Remote] Staff Accountant

The role involves overseeing the quality and accuracy of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and performing key accounting functions such as journal entry preparation and financial statement analysis.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and posting of standard/adjusting journal entries
• reputed company month-end reputed company procedures and meet reputed company deadlines
• Review and analyze reputed company reports for accuracy in accordance with GAAP
• Interact with field personnel to ensure subsidiary ledger and financial statement accuracy
• Financial statement review including detailed variance analysis of profit and loss and balance sheet statements
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate/resolve reconciling items
• Assist with audit requests and interact with internal/external auditors
• Ensure proper internal controls are maintained for corporate/field financial processes

Skills

• Bachelor's degree; Accounting major
• 1+ years accounting experience required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting including: reputed company Recognition, Inventory, Accounts Receivable, Allowance for Doubtful Accounts, Accruals, P&L variances
• Must be detail oriented
• Must be proficient in reputed company
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to quickly adapt to new business systems/applications
• Excellent verbal and written communications
