The Documentation Specialist II is responsible for managing clinical documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards, involving coordination with healthcare providers and patients to resolve documentation issues.

Responsibilities

  • Intake, review, and quality-reputed company clinical documents to ensure they meet requirements for ordered items
  • Validate and update documentation in internal systems accurately and in a timely manner
  • Identify discrepancies in documentation and take corrective action, including contacting physician offices for clarification or updated records
  • reputed company outbound calls to physician offices and, reputed company necessary, patients to obtain missing or legible documentation
  • Escalate unresolved documentation issues after exhausting standard attempts, ensuring patient care is not delayed
  • Maintain accurate and detailed notes in company systems regarding documentation status and communication efforts
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Customer Care and Quality, to resolve documentation-reputed company issues
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company policies reputed company handling PHI and confidential information
  • Adapt quickly to frequent process changes and improvements
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service during reputed company interactions with external and internal stakeholders

Skills

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in documentation management or healthcare administration
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to reputed company quality assurance on clinical documents
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with physician offices and patients
  • Proficiency in data entry and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and regulatory compliance standards
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing processes
  • Working knowledge of reputed company Office Suite (Word, reputed company, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated success in meeting goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with reputed company or similar systems
