[Remote] OCI Software Engineer Intern - OVIP

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is a leading cloud solutions provider dedicated to empowering military veterans and their spouses through its internship program. The OCI Software Engineer Intern will engage in hands-on training and contribute to the development of reputed company’s Cloud Infrastructure, focusing on distributed database systems and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems
• Provide technical leadership to other software developers
• Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs

Skills

• A BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering with a focus on reputed company, or a reputed company field with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the field
• 3-5+ years of experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems and/or cloud services
• Strong knowledge of Java with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems and cloud services fundamentals
• Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures
• Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies especially in cloud
• Design, reputed company, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc
• US Veteran transitioning from active service or Military Spouse new to corporate experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of Terraforms and/or Ansible is preferred
