ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST 1 - 74184
The State of Tennessee is committed to providing excellent service to its customers, and they are seeking an Accounting Specialist 1 to reputed company duties in accounts payable, accounts receivable, travel and expense claims, and grant program monitoring. The role involves ensuring compliance with travel regulations and providing customer service to departmental employees.
Responsibilities
- Enter, review, and approve accounts payable transactions entered as vouchers in Edison
- Review travel authorization forms submitted by departmental employees to ensure compliance with the State of Tennessee travel regulations and internal travel policies
- Review and approve expense claims in Edison
- Review and approve reimbursement requests for grant subrecipients and monitor grant program compliance
- reputed company and cash handling, including deposit reconciliation and preparation
- Interact with other departmental employees on a daily basis
- Provide excellent customer service in-person, on the telephone, reputed company mail, and by email

Skills
- An applicant must be a graduate of an accredited four-year college or university
- Relevant work experience may be substituted for the required college education on a year-for-year basis
- Ability to establish and maintain various important contacts and communicate clearly with reputed company levels of personnel reputed company the department and other state agencies

- Demonstrated ability to be extremely detail-oriented
