Accounting Technician, Assurance and Accounting (Bilingual)

The role of Accounting Technician involves preparing detailed financial information and supporting the Assurance and Accounting team to meet client needs in the financial reporting landscape.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and update government remittances and filings, accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable and payroll transactions
- Prepare client files
- reputed company the month-end and quarter-end reputed company process
- Maintain, monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, intercompany transactions and reputed company of sale/system uploads
- Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies and discuss with managers or engagement partners to reputed company solutions
- Respond to information requests from various levels of government
- Work collaboratively with the engagement team
- Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Skills
- Accounting certificate
- Advanced knowledge of French
- Up to 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes
- Experience using accounting software
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation is considered an asset
- Experience preparing T4 and T5 slips is considered an asset
