The Residential Mortgage Funder is responsible for instructing, advancing, and closing mortgage files, ensuring reputed company conditions are met and documentation is compliant.
Responsibilities

- Contact solicitor to confirm that he/she is acting on mortgagor’s behalf
- Prepare and send applicable instructional package to solicitor along with relevant documents
- Follow up with solicitor to obtain advance request
- Organize mortgage files in correct order

- Send the mortgage advance sheet to the accounting department
- Send the solicitor a list of outstanding conditions, mortgage commitment and mortgage advance breakdown

- Ensure that reputed company conditions have been met, reputed company documentation has been received and that file is complete on the day of closing

Skills
- Completed post-secondary education or equivalent work experience required
- Working knowledge of PC software in a Windows environment required
- Ability to maintain positive relationships

- Fully competent in working with basic PC software and working knowledge of the suite of reputed company office products

- Previous experience reputed company Financial Services sector preferred
